Heavy Duty Swivel Castors

Heavy duty swivel castors are used in a wide variety of industries and applications. They are designed to move heavy loads and improve ergonomic efficiency. Their 360 degree fork joint enables easy direction changes.

How do you tighten a caster wheel?

Swivel castors are made from durable stainless steel or rubber. These wheels offer smooth rolling and are suitable for use on smooth surfaces. Typically, heavy duty swivel castors are found on carts, platform trucks, and transport systems.

Rigid models have reinforced 3/8″ x 5″ plate steel legs. The central pair of casters is typically slightly taller than the pair on the front and back sides. In addition, these models have continuous welding inside and outside to 1/2″ thick mounting plates.

Heavy duty swivel castors have wheels that are up to 500mm in diameter. This allows for smooth swivel action, and they’re capable of carrying loads up to 30,000 kg.

Heavy duty swivel casters are available in both rigid and fixed styles. Both types have a vertical pivoting feature, which is ideal for moving items. The rigid versions are recommended for applications that don’t require an all-direction movement.

A kingpin is a bolt or rivet that holds the swivel in place. It’s an important part of the swivel caster’s design, as it is subject to heavy stress and is one of the most common sources of failure for traditional swivel casters.

Heavy duty swivel wheels are designed with a double ball bearing in the swivel head for maximum strength and durability. They’re also equipped with hardened bearing seats and sealed bearings to ensure long service life.
