Though I publish occasional fiction, my writing life is devoted to poetry, and its advocacy.
On this website are new poems , links to my books on Amazon, and latest news.

Poetry is ahead of history, but I trace its steps on a blog sponsored by The Gutenberg Project, that is designed to be a reader-friendly history of the evolution of poetry in the West.
I am married to a beautiful, third-generation Southern cook, and we have one son who is a gifted painter. I'm essentially the luckiest man who has ever lived.
